The Peter Plays

THE PETER PLAYS – What’s it like when certain celebrities reach heaven?

These are short (about 5-10 minutes in length) comedies. Each play involves the central character reaching heaven and encountering Peter, who ensures that they are given the treatment they deserve based on their behavior on Earth.

The plays utilize a bare stage with one or two doors, depending on the play.

They can either be performed together as a production, or individually. They are ideal to include within a production of one-act plays.

THE ETERNITY OF DONALD TRUMP:
2 M

Peter, the caretaker of heaven, informs Donald Trump that he will be in a room with another person, with one being the master and the other the servant who must do whatever the master wishes. The master will be the one with the most money on earth. Trump eagerly enters the room, but is shocked when he finds out who the other person is.

THE ETERNITY OF MARILYN MONROE:

The Marquis de Sade is excited when he reaches heaven and learns from Peter, the caretaker of heaven, that the room behind the door he chooses is a dungeon-like place, with whips, handcuffs, a rack, and other such things. But then he learns who he will have to use these items on.

THE ETERNITY OF MICHAEL MOORE:

THE ETERNITY OF JOAN OF ARK
1 male, 1 female

Arriving in heaven is Joan of Ark, the daughter of Noah (and not the French heroine). She has tales of the wicked people of her time.

THE ETERNITY OF NOBODY
